reading: “mrs. dalloway”.
thinking: about changing my christmas card designs.
wishing: the weekend would hurry up and get here!
happy ball reading: “at least i love you”
cynic’s dictionary definition o’ the day: smile button: “the visual equivalent of “have a nice day”; a wanton assault on the blissful misery of cynics.”
gratitudes:
1. the sun is shining!
2. the sky is blue!
3. there’s no road construction, yet!
4. my happy ball loves me!
5. it’s pay day!
peeves:
1. drivers who run red lights.
2. jaywalkers.
3. people who don’t watch their children in stores.
4. scars.
5. computer generated phone calls.
link o’ the day: little earth
journal o’ the day: none today, sorry!

i would bitch about it only being tuesday, but i did just pick up my paycheque a while ago, so there’s something to smile about! this is helpful not only because i don’t have to worry about my health insurance cheque bouncing, but i put in a fairly substantial order at amazon uk a couple days ago. i decided to buy the “harry potter” books thru them, since the books are originally published in the uk, and are changed for the american reading audience. for example, i purchased “harry potter and the sorcerer’s stone” at a local bookseller, the novel experience, here in slo. it’s a great book, but i could see where many of the words and phrases would be different in the uk version. when i searched on amazon uk for the other books, i noticed that even the title was different: “harry potter and the philosopher’s stone”! so, i decided to buy it, and re-read, well, probably just skim thru, the book to get the whole british experience! i went ahead and ordered the other two books as well. i know i already have a substantial reading list, but the “harry potter” books are fast reads! i also got “david’s diary” by david coulthard, a scottish f1 driver, who, incidently, won the belgian grand prix this past sunday. i’m getting a bit too hooked on reading other people’s diaries, dontcha think? anyway, that book isn’t available here, so i had to order it.

well, i can’t think of anything else to write about right now, so i guess this will be a short entry. if anything else comes up, i’ll put it in the afterthoughts section, but i’ll be sure to let you know. anyway, cheers from slo!
