May 10, 1999 Whimsy! "Ode to a New Bar of Soap" Ah, but there's nothing better in the world than a brand new bar of soap! That fresh new scent when it's removed from the package, the crisp, clean lines, and the solid engraved image of the name and logo on top! But, better than that is the hearty, full, bubbly lather! A new bar of soap lathers up faster, and with a creamier consistancy than one that has been reduced to a mere sliver! It's so bubbly, and frothy, and foamy! And the scent is so much fresher and stonger in the beginning! It lasts longer on the skin! Ah, yes, a new bar of soap is a wonderful thing! Have a loverly day, all!

May 9, 1999 HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!

April 30/May 1, 1999 It's been five years since Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna were killed in separate crashes at Imola, Italy. Roland, a rookie driver from Austria, died during qualifying Saturday, April 30, 1994, and Ayrton, a triple World Champion from Brazil, died the next day, Sunday, May 1, 1994 following a crash during the San Marino Grand Prix. I had hoped to put up my own tribute pages to mark the anniversaries, but time, as usual, escaped me. Anyway, I'm sure The S-Files will have some sort of memorial or mention of Senna, who was killed in a crash on May 1, 1994. If nothing else, you can find out who I'm talking about. As for Roland, there are a couple nice pages dedicated to him: this one doesn't have a picture, but this one does, except it's in Portugese. (edited 3/29/05, both of those sites are down, now, but there's a nice Memorial up now.) It just nice to see he's not been forgotten. Rest in peace, Roland and Ayrton!
