annoyed

so, i can’t think of anything to write today. sorry. i am so unmotivated, it’s not even remotely funny. everything is starting to get to me, annoy me. even things and people i normally like are annoying the crap out of me! this past weekend, i really needed to sleep in and lay around and recover from having to be so nice and polite and efficient all day every day during the week, but i also really needed to get the hell out of town! now, today would’ve been a perfect day to escape, as i was all rested up now and ready for adventure, but, no, i had to work. do you see how this sucked?

okay, i’m going to get my hair cut soon if it kills me, dammit! it’s starting to get really nasty, and dry and snarly. no matter how gently i try to comb through the tangles - which i still have despite using a very expensive detangler! - i end up with huge knots which basically have to be cut out! these ends really need to come off! i usually try to get it done on thursdays since i’m already downtown for farmer’s market, but lately, everyone and their dog is in getting a hair cut on thursdays! so, i’ll try tomorrow night. o, sure, there’s other salons besides supercuts, including a fantastic sams right down by the gym i’ll be joining soon, but i like just the basic trim for seven bucks without the fuss. if i go into another salon where they do colour as well as cuts, i always get the big lecture on how the over the counter hair colour is so bad for my hair, and how i should just give them a hundred dollars to colour it with their really super special stuff. forget that! besides, this clairol natural instincts stuff is the best i’ve ever used! the colour actually lasts longer than it says on the box, and since it fades gradually, i don’t have roots, and therefore, can even skip a month if i feel like it and no one notices. if you get it done in the salon, however, you have to go in and pay $50 for a touch up every couple weeks. screw that noise! granted, i’d love to be able to find a stylist whom i could just take my box of hair colour into, and have her/him apply it for me. less stress and less mess for me! unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way, so i’ll keep doing it myself. there is another supercuts out by the mall, but that’s wayout of the way, and not as much fun now that there’s no longer an afterthoughts or wet seal to amuse me. still, as i’m getting desperate . . .

let’s see, what else inconveniences me? well, slow drivers (that’s a duh!), jaywalkers who meander across the street rather than cross with the sense of urgency they should, people who run red lights, making those of us with a green have to wait . . .

earlier today, i was in the kitchen at work getting a refill on the coffee, when kitty popped her perky little self in and said to me in a very low whisper, “i know it’s none of my business, but have they hired you on yet?”, which kind-of took me aback. i told her, "no, not to my knowledge" i’m still considered a temp, but that i haven’t gotten my review, yet, so who knows. after all, i did get a raise this year, and am scheduled for a review, neither of which i’ve had before. kitty said that it would be really cool if they finally made me permanent, and, of course i agreed. what was also odd, was she said she’d asked other people about it, people who had also been wondering, but no one seemed to know, so she thought she’d come to the source, so to speak. it’s kind-of weird to think that my co-workers are standing around speculating as to the status of my employment here! i do need to ask the queen about getting my review, though. she’d been ill, and had to postpone a few reviews, but she’s better now. although i do consider the raise to be a promising thing, as well as the fact that they’re thinking of using me in the estate planning department, i would think if they’d decided to hire me on permanently, they’d want to get the paper work out of the way: health insurance, retirement plan; that sort-of thing. but, what do i know?

gee, for someone who started out with nothing to talk about, i’ve certainly managed to go onandonandon again! will stop now, however, so i can get some sleep.

miscellaneous

just in case you’re interested, i am currently:
reading: “in the garden of iden” by kage baker. o, sure, i could’ve finished this book over the weekend, and gone on to the final “harry potter” book, but no. i sat around on my ass, vegging in front of the telly, which basically sucks over the weekend. what, do they think no one’s home on the weekends? do they think we’re all out doing fun outdoor activities, hanging out with friends, shopping or going to movies? well, they’re wrong, because some of us don’t like outdoor activities, or have any friends to hang out with, and don’t have any money for shopping or going to movies. we just like to lay around, and wouldn’t mind having some decent television programmes to watch! goddammit!
