self-portrait

"Mendoza in Hollywood" Kage Baker (Actually, I haven't even touched this book in weeks. I really have every intention of reading this book, as I really like this author, and have read the other books in this series, but finding time to do so is becoming an issue.)

"Little Women" Louisa May Alcott (After speaking with Jewel yesterday, it's been decided that we will drop this book for now, and move on to something different. Very likely we will be reading "Black Beauty" next.)

Whatever is playing on the radio.

Nothing new; still editing "Intervention," which, it turns out, is 44 pages long! Not that 44 pages is the longest story I've ever written, but for some reason, I thought this story wasn't that long. I'm nearly finished editing, however, and hope to have it posted this week.

All the pretty flowers in the garden!

The nice weather today.

Another photo-filled entry today! I noticed my yellow flower bush is doing quite well - lots of pretty flowers and it's looking very healthy this year - and decided to check out the rest of the back yard.

i love this bush! i've seen these yellow flower bushes everywhere, and although mine doesn't look as good as many of the others, it's looking a lot better this year.

The two wild rose bushes have exploded in bloom! In case you don't know the story, these two bushes came from a very pretty little rose tree I purchased when I first moved into this house. The rose bush died, but these two wild bushes were growing out of the pot the tree came in. We removed them, and planted them in the ground, and they've taken off quite well.

this is the other wild rose bush.

wild roses and flamingo.

This whole part of the yard is looking very pretty, now.

this is my favourite place in the garden. this little corner is so pretty.

i forget what these purple flowers in the pot are called, but i love their deep, velvet colour.

these purple flowers came over from next door, and decided to stay.

the ivy is doing very well, i see!

I have several good-sized strawberries, now, too, and the veggies are looking pretty good, as well.

though not as big as the strawberries currently in the stores, these are looking quite nice!

we have a couple tomato plants and some bell peppers down here.

Cheers!
