Left Behind by Tim LaHaye, Jerry B. Jenkins
Note: Jewel and I are taking a break from the Classics this month to read the above titled book. We figure it'll probably be considered a classic someday, so we're just trying to get a jump start on that. [wink!]

Writing:
Not much. I'm actually trying to catch up on my reading.

Hearing:
Nothing. Like I said. Trying to read more.

Grateful for:
Time off from work, going to visit a friend, finding cool stuff, learning how to pray, and being home again.

Loving:
All the cool stuff I bought.

Back

I'm back. Actually, I've been back for awhile, but I've been working on putting my Costa Mesa Vacation journal entries and pictures up. They're almost ready. I just want to shuffle a few of the pictures around and edit the entries. I'm also planning on sharing them with my friend Jewel first, since she's in them, and I want to make sure I don't post anything that she wouldn't want me to.

So, anyway. One of the things we did, which I don't go into detail in the entries, was Bible lessons. Or Bible readings, I'm not really sure what they're called. Jewel has several Bible lesson books on various topics, and I decided I wanted to do the one on prayer. You see, I don't really know how to pray, or even if there is a specific way to pray. Anyway, there were only six chapters in the book, and we were able to get through two each night while I was there. I really learned a lot, and Jewel said she did, too. I discovered there actuallyis a certain way to pray and that way is outlined by Jesus himself: Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And, deliver us from the evil one.

I'm planning on using that example when I say my prayers. The author of the book suggested writing down your prayers, and Jewel and I agreed that was a great idea. To that end, I have started yet another web log, called Shine, where I'll be posting my daily Bible readings and daily prayers and anything else that has to do specifically with my spiritual growth.

I'm thinking that's about all I have to say about that right now. There may or may not be more later, I'm not sure. For now, though, I'm back. That's all.
