Catching Up...................

Hi. Sorry I haven't been around much lately. I've been busy. No, really! I have! I've been busy with work, homefront and family stuff, various projects, trips, etc. Check it out:

1. I went to Austin, Texas the end of October to attend JournalCon. I'm still dealing with all the photographs I took! (More on that below.)

2. I joined a local Curves, and have been going there regularly. I love it! So much better than the gym!

3. Yard work. Yeah, I know it's November, but here in California, we still have to prune bushes and mow lawns in November, not to mention rake leaves and clean out gutters.

4. Overtime at work. Nice!

5. Anyone here watch Clean Sweep? The purging-reorganizing-ending-up-with-a-super-cool-totally-organized-room show? Yeah, well, I've been playing "the home game." I've gone through my closets and drawers, and got rid of a ton of stuff that doesn't fit me, will never fit me, or I haven't worn in over a year. I've also been getting rid of CDs, DVDs and videos through secondspin.com, and next I'll be going through my enormous collection of books. Once I get myself down to a reasonalbe amount of stuff, I'm getting new bedroom furniture and accessories, and I'll be all organized and life will be good.

6. Family dinners. Gah! 'Nuff said.

7. First Aid and CPR recertification the past two evenings. The recert doesn't take as long as the full class, but the Curves I go to closes as 7, so I haven't been able to go work out since Tuesday. I'm going tonight, though.

8. NaNoWriMo, also known as National Novel Writing Month, wherein you attempt to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. This year I'm writing about cats, because I'm quite obsessed with cats and kittens lately. Don't bother asking why, because I'm about to tell you:

9. Had to deal with a trio of adorable but violent feral kittens who'd taken up refuge in our garage. I cornered one, and it bit me on the tip of my right index finger, pretty much taking me out of typing commission for a couple days. It's perfectly fine now, thanks for asking. (And, no, I have no pain, redness or swelling, so I apparently didn't get a staph infection from it, unlike the guy who was on Judge Judy yesterday. Sounded nasty!)

10. Photographic projects. I've been trying to catch up on my Photo Time Tuesday, Theme Thursday and Photo Friday galleries for the past month, plus I've been processing my JournalCon pictures, and participating in the latest 26 Things project.

11. I've just been darn tired lately! I think it's the time change, and how it's all dark early and cold now. I've been crawling into bed around 9 lately.

So, see? I've been busy! I'd like to say it'll start slowing down soon, but with Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's coming up, I know it won't. I haven't even started making my Christmas cards yet, plus there's shopping and mailing and parties and . . . Gah! I've given up trying to lose weight right now, and am just trying to not gain any over the next couple of months! I already have too much to deal with; I don't need the additional stress of numbers on the scale!

Cheers!
