Well, Happy April Fool's Day. Bah! I'm afraid I
have no tricks or jokes for you today. Sorry. I've never really been into that
sort of thing anyway. I never liked playing jokes on people, and never,
ever liked having jokes played on me! I hate to be
embarrassed, especially in public, so practical jokes are
not my idea of a good freakin' time. I hate watching
those sit-coms that get their laughs off of public humiliation and/or
some embarrassing practical joke played on a character. I can't
stand it! It literally brings on a panic attack as well as some
serious rage, and I have to turn the channel or leave the room. Shows
like "Candid Camera" and "Punk'd" are stupid, evil, and mean, in my
opinion. I can't believe people like that crap!
Jeeze! I
really didn't mean to start off today like that. I got my period this
morning, so I'm a bit cranky. Sorry. All of the above is true, but I didn't
mean to be so intense about it! Moving right along . . . I'm
planning on going to Farmer's Market tonight, since next Thursday I will
be starting another 10 week class; this one on Memoir Writing.
Instructor Marc is teaching this one, too, so I pretty much know what to
expect from the class. I heard a couple of the Creative Writing students
talking about it, so there may be some other familiar faces, too. Gah!
That reminds me! I still need to get a hold of the text book for that class!
I meant to do that weeks ago, so I wouldn't be stressing out at the last
minute. Like I'm doing right now. Gah!
Also, I forgot to bring
Pickwick Papers with me to read while having dinner tonight. In
fact, I totally forgot to bring any book with me to read! Rats! I
guess I'll have to pick something up at B&N. Maybe the textbook I need!
I know the very last thing I need in the whole wide world is another
book, but really, I hate having dinner alone with nothing to do or read.
I find myself staring at people while they eat, and I'm sure that's really
annoying for them. Well, I'm sure I'll figure out something. My main goal for the evening is to take pictures. I need to update my Bubble Gum Alley pictures, plus I'd like to get some photos of the fresh produce. I've noticed the strawberries have been particularly red and plump in the stores, so I'm sure the Farmer's ones will be really beautiful! I'd like to get some artsy fartsy shots in black and white, too.
Another thing I'd like to do is go through The Creamery - a historic brick building that has art galleries and quaint little shops in it. I've been wanting to do so for the longest time, but I either forget when I'm downtown, or just run out of time. Tonight, however, I'm going!
for what it's worth,
Hez
