Luckily, I was a bit better today, though nowhere near 100%. I was able to help my grandmother with Christmas dinner, however, which I think was the only present she really wanted. She loves doing big family dinners like this. She loves to cook lots of food, and make sure everyone eats until they're as stuffed as a Thanksgiving turkey. Most people obliged her, so I don't think she noticed I didn't have much; just some green bean casserole, a roll, some broccoli, and a spoonful of cabbage-apple salad, which I pretty much had to have because the cabbage came from grandpa's garden, and the recipe was my great-grandmother's. It was very good, though. I'll have to get that recipe from her . . .
My aunt and uncle and two cousins came (J. bringing her boyfriend whom I'm sure will be officially part of the family soon), and they brought their two pugs. Normally, I would have enjoyed this, but I was still not healthy, and because I didn't think they'd bring the beasts, I didn't take any allergy medicine. So, I was sick and unable to breathe. Merry Christmas. Gah!
I hold out hope that tomorrow will bring real and actual relief to my aching body and bowels. I'm so tired of being sick!
Cheers!
