31 Things

Yes, it's another list entry. Yes, I know I should be writing actual entries during Holidalies, but I just couldn't think of anything for today. Maybe tomorrow. Thanks to Dawnie for the list!

Thirty One Things to do during December

1. Finish stamping Christmas cards.

2. Write Christmas letter.

3. Put together present for my "Secret Santa" person.

4. Alphabetize my CDs.

5. Lose 5 pounds.

6. Go to the gym/Curves 15 times.

7. Revamp my website. (Gah! I don't even know what I want to do with either of my sites! There's so much useless crap on them. It's tempting to just scrap them both and start over from scratch. But, we'll se.)

8. Organize my digital pictures.

9. Edit my short story "The Charm Bracelet". (I wrote this when I was taking my Short Story Fiction Writing class earlier this year. If I can get my act together, it would be a really cool Mother's Day story.)

10. Read Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck.

11. Finish DP fanfic stories The Ghosts of Christmas and A Mile in My Shoes.

12. Attend Annual Office Christmas Party.

13. Spend an afternoon exploring Morro Bay. (Maybe get another tattoo???)

14. Attend Christmas Eve church services. (We couldn't go last year because the earthquake
damaged the church. Plus my entire family was sick as dogs. This year, everything's cool. *crosses fingers*)

15. Write thoughtful yet entertaining journal entries.

16. Reconnect with old friends.

17. Drink 8 glasses of water per day.

18. Redecorate my cube at work with new fun toys. (The Barbie pen and Speed Racer coffee mug/pencil holder are getting a little old.)

19. Colour my hair.

20. Sell stuff on Ebay.

21. Desposit check from Second Spin.

22. Take my medication every day. (I've actually been really bad about this, particularly with all the drinking at all the parties. Still, I need to take it because otherwise I'm a freaked out mess.)

23. Complete this month's 26 Things list. (And, maybe while I'm at it, I'll work on finishing the two previous ones, too!)

24. See three movies in the theater. (The Incredibles, National Treasure, and Finding Neverland.)

25. Stamp a picture for fun. (I haven't stamped for fun in a very long time. I used to do it a lot, and I really need to get back into it. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing a picture in your head then putting it together on paper. Nice.)

26. Wear a dress to work at least once. (For some reason, I've gotten out of the habit of wearing skirts or dresses to work. I'm not sure why, but I suddenly have an aversion to them. I need to get over that; I've got several really cute outfits I'm not wearing.)

27. Write my Year in Review journal entry.

28. Write my New Year's Resolutions. (Honestly, I don't know why I bother with this one every year. I never keep any of the resolutions or reach any of the goals I set for myself. It's an exercise in futility, really.)

29. Balance my checkbook.

30. Cheer the heck up. (No one likes a grump at Christmastime.)

31. Enjoy the holidays! (Could someone pass the wine? Thanks.)
