Digital ELPH: Missing in Action

Well, I did it: I finally volunteered to bring in a short story to distribute in my creative writing class next week. When Marc asked who wanted to bring their stories in, for some reason my hand shot up: "Ooh! Me! Me!" Yeah, as if I'm ready for this! I don't have anything even close to being a completed short story! I've got ideas - plenty of them! I have beginnings of stories - three to be exact - but am stalled on all of them. Remember when I considered taking an old fanfic and changing the character's names and occupations, and submitting that? Well, after thinking about it a couple of days, I decided that was pretty lame, and scrapped the idea. So, now I'm stuck. And running out of time. God, help me!

In other news, I've apparently lost my digital camera. Or misplaced it. Or something. I've been looking for it the past few days, checking all of the places I usually put it - in my purse, my backpack, the den, the car. Nothing. Last time I used it was Sunday afternoon when I went out to get a shot of the rosemary in the back yard, which is bursting with gorgeous lavender coloured blossoms! I never got around to downloading the pictures, and now the camera has disappeared. It's been very frustrating to not have a camera at the ready: there have been three gorgeous sunsets and one totally awesome cloud pattern (that would've been perfect for this week's PhotoTime Tuesday theme, which was patterns!) that I've missed because my camera is gone. I can't figure out where I set that darn thing down! Gah! It's driving me nuts!

for what it's worth,
