Three things I can cross off my To Do
List: I transferred the allotted amount of money into my IRA yesterday, I
finished reading Animal Farm, and I returned the extra text book to Borders.
Yay me! Tonight I have to go workout, or I'd Jiffy Lube my car, and be able to cross
one more thing off. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow.
Speaking of the To Do List, I've
given it its own page. Now I can keep
better track of things that need to get done. I've added my Resolutions & Fitness
Goals, and Classic Books Reading
List as well. It helps when I have a list in front of me, or easily
accessible. I think the problem I've had with keeping my resolutions or meeting my
goals in the past, is that I've forgotten what I resolved to do, or what my goals
were. Out of sight is truly out of mind for me! If it's not right in front of my face all
the time, I completely forget about it! And, so, a new section for my lists!
Last night
being Thursday I had intended to do Farmer's Market. However, since I had to
return that book to Borders, I decided instead to have dinner at Tahoe Joe's and
browse through Gottschalks, Payless Shoes and Name Brand Shoes, and not fight the crowds downtown. I was hoping
to find some cute new pointy-toed shoes, because I'm really in the mood for cute new pointy-toed shoes (and, OMG, this
lady outside Tahoe Joe's had on the cutest pair of pink suede pointy-toed pumps with a
pink ribbon around the top! She said she got them at Macy's, but the
closest Macy's is Santa Barbara (for now; we're supposed to be getting a Macy's here soon!), and I can't just go running all the way down to Santa
Barbara to look for cute shoes. Can I? Probably not. What's even worse is they're not on the website either. Sadness!), but both Payless and Name Brand
were completely devoid of cute shoes – pointy-toed or otherwise - and while Gottschalks had some cute
shoes, they were way out of my poverty-ridden price range.
*Sigh*
Anyway, it's Friday, so that at least is cause for celebration. Right?
for what it's worth,
