Ready for the Weekend
OMG! I am so ready for this weekend! Not that I'm doing anything particularly fun or going anywhere particularly interesting, but I'm looking very forward to it anyway. I'm planning on doing some shopping tomorrow, hitting the outlet stores and K-mart, maybe Target. (I much prefer Target over K-mart, but The Big K is closer, and there's a good chance I might not want to be on the freeway tomorrow.) I want to get a chenille throw for my bedroom, and I really need a new blanket: my current one is crumbling to pieces, and I'm almost not exaggerating about that!
I'm going to try really hard not to shop for clothes or shoes. I have plenty of both. I really don't need anything, at least not for a few more pounds (some of my 18s are starting to feel loose, and on a couple pair of khakis and jeans, a belt is now required, and not just as a funky accessory.), so I really shouldn't look at all. But, I probably will. I'd love to find some fun, funky outfits to take to DC!
Another thing I want to do this weekend is go through my South Beach diet cookbook and plan my meals out. I've been slacking off on that, and therefore not really eating too well. I need to get back into it, and I really need to find some delicious new recipes to try. I've been in such a rut lately, eating the same old thing every week. Gah! I need something fresh, new and exciting to jump start my diet!
My one and only chore this weekend will be to put the rest of my stuff on Ebay. I've got probably a couple hundred rubber stamps, some "Kenny" from South Park stuff, Beanie Babies, Meanies, and F1 books to list and try to sell. I've been pretty successful so far: I sold both of my Paul Sloan art prints, my F1 video tapes, and two Senna books. It's really very exciting, and much, much easier than having a yard sale!
And, finally, there's a new photographic scavenger hunt that started yesterday: 26 Things III! I think I'll be able to find many of the things on the list in my photo galleries or in my house! This should be fun!
