"Sometime today, we'll go sit by the pool," Jewel and I promised ourselves. "We'll sit under the covered cabanas, and order drinks from the bar, and read our books, and enjoy some snacks, and sit in the hot tub."

Well, we did hit the pool, but it wasn't until nearly 4:00 p.m. that we made it out there, and by then the sun was dropping down behind the hills, and the marine layer was moving back in, so it was darn cold. Also, the bar is only open seasonally, and apparently this is not the season for it to be open, so we had to order from room service and have it delivered poolside. Still, that was pretty cool!

Being Monday, the pool area was pretty deserted, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet for a while, before spending some quality time with the wonderful, bubbly hot tub, then retiring to our room. And then hitting the casino. Again.
We were down there pretty much all day. Jewel and I tried to game together as much as possible, but eventually we separated to find different games to play: Jewel wanted to play some BlackJack, and I figured I'd just stay in the nickel-slot area where it was a bit safer. I hadn't planned on spending that much time (or money) at the slots, but I got hooked on The Price is Right game, and dropped a load of money on that, but got a load back in return. The other one I liked was the Harley Davidson one, but I didn't find that one until later. It was mostly The Price is Right. The theme song for that show, and all the dinging and ringing of the wins are still bouncing around in my head. I swear I'm going to hear Rod Roddy call, "Come on down! You're the next contestant on The Price is Right!" in my sleep!
The one thing that place needs is more cocktail waitresses on the floor! I swear I had to go to the bar and get my own drinks because no one was coming around! That wasn't so bad, though. I guess I did need some time away from the games! They're just too easy to play! Anyhow, I think this will be it for us. We leave tomorrow, and we wanted to hit the Outlet Center again before going home. There's still half of that mall we didn't get to, plus I really wanted to hit The Gap to see if they carry any of the larger sized jeans.
for what it's worth,
