I hadn't been out in the backyard for quite a while, and the weather was so beautiful today, and mom and I were finished with putting together my new wall unit, and had finished all our chores, so I ventured out to see what was blooming. The picture at the top is our froggie garden wind chime thing. I can hear it sometimes when the wind blows at night. It's so pretty and soothing!
This poor little tree! It's completely dwarfed by the neighbour's large tree on the other side of the fence, and also becoming overrun by the large bush right in front of it, that I really must trim back sometime soon. Still, the pink blossoms are lovely!

We've still got plenty of bright yellow daffodils blooming, though the other plant is already starting to fade.

I can't remember what this orange flower is called, but I really, really like it! The colours are vivid, and the shape is really pretty.

This is the rosemary I originally planted for cooking, but never used. We transplanted it back in the naked corner behind the trees last year, and it's been thriving there ever since. This year, it's blooming!

This bush of yellow flowers just exploded this past week! I haven't seen this many blossoms on it for a few years at least!

This lone yellow flower is on the runaway bush I need to trim back in order to keep our pink blossomed tree from disappearing completely.

for what it's worth,

Reading: You've Got to Read This ed. by Ron Hansen. This week we're only reading
one story from the book: "Master and Man" by Leo Tolstoy. We've got three stories to work shop for
next week.
Classic Book: Pickwick Papers by Charles Dickens.
Previously: Animal Farm by George Orwell.
Listening to: All my old vinyl, now that I got my turntable fixed, and got the 45 adapter! What a trip down memory lane it's been!
Writing: I wrote a really quick new short story during my lunch hour on Friday, and I'm working on cleaning it up so I can turn it in on Wednesday.
Gratitude: Beautiful, sunny, warm days, and pretty, pretty flowers.
