I’m such a slacker, I know. I haven’t updated in forEVER. It’s not that I have nothing to write about; on the contrary, I have a LOT to write about, I just don’t have TIME to write. Or at least that’s what I tell myself.

Updates on last weekend’s Flat Stanley Adventure is upcoming, as are general fitness updates and some new photos. All coming. Very Soon. I promise.

I woke up at 3:15 this morning to the start of my period. Oh joy. I got up and took care of it, and had just snuggled back down into bed and waited for the Advil to numb the cramps when I noticed a annoying scratchy feeling in my throat near my left tonsil. I figured it was just dry from the cold and probably because I was snoring. (I know I do; I’m not going to deny it. You don’t have to be rude about it!) So, anyway, I took a couple gulps of water hoping that would help and got comfortable again, but the scratchiness was still there along with a discernable achiness. Crap. I got my period AND a cold at the same moment! I got up again and shoved a moist Zicam swab up each nostril and went back to bed. This morning, the achy throat is still there and has been joined by that kinda of light-stuffy-headed feeling that comes with a cold. I took some Advil Cold and Sinus to kill both the cold symtoms AND the cramps, and had a Zicam chewable before I left home, making sure to take extras with me to have throughout the day. Hopefully I caught it early enough that the Zicam will help. If not, it’s going to be a really crappy weekend.
