Our wild roses are just about ready to bloom again:

So are the Irises (which is exciting because they didn’t even come up last year):

So, we headed to Home Depot first thing in the morning and picked up the five bags of potting soil, two bags of fertilizer and the veggie plants we decided to grow this year: tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, eggplant and bell peppers.

The whole planting process took us about 4 hours; there were several steps to getting these boxes planted and it was a lot of work. Hopefully it’ll pay off with some great produce! I won’t bore you with the step-by-step process (and if you’re interested you can visit the website) and quite frankly, I’m beat! The sun came out this afternoon, and it got really hot. Summer’s on its way!
